Types of Tourism

Tourism industry is one of the biggest industries in the world & contributes a big share in world's economy. People travel in the world  to experience various things according to their interests. There are various types of tourism for which people travel. 

1. Rural tourism




Rural tourism is tourism in which people travel to experience the rural life of particular place. India's most of population belongs to rural areas & tourists who are interested in studying the rural life of india are attracted to these places. Rajasthan, punjab, uttrakhand are good examples  for rural tourism.

2. Religious tourism.




Religious tourism is tourism in which people travel the world for their religious beliefs. India believes in unity in diversity & hence people from all around the world come here to visit famous religious places like Badrinath temple, Golden temple, jama masjid etc.

3. Health Tourism 


Health tourism is india is peaking as the world is getting conscious of getting fit. Yoga & ayurveda are the key factors that attract millions of people form  the world to india. Rishikesh us one of the place where most of the foreigners come to practice yoga & spend their lives learning it.

4. Adventure tourism



Adventure tourism is for hardcore people in the world. They travel the world to explore the untouched beautiful places in the world,  they travel for thrill. There are numbers of adventurous activities in india from bungee jumping to scuba diving.people also enjoy winter and watersports here.

5. Cultural Tourism 


People who are intrested to study different lifestyles of people in the world are the one intrested in cultural tourism. India is a culturally diverse country and the lifestyles of people bary state to state. This gives more opportunity to cultural tourism in india.

Jaunsar - The land of witches

Every child is fond of listening to stories, specially if the story is mysterious. When i was a child,  my nanaji used to  tell me stories of many mysterious places in uttrakhand. One of the heated topic on those stories were of jaunsar, a place in uttrakhand where people believe witches exist.  The story, that i remember from my nanaji's side is that once my nanaji's grandfather went to jaunsar for development of roads. Hence he wondered that all the stories from jaunsar were a myth & other engineers were not ready to go there, he got ready for the project of jaunsar. The day he reached jaunsar a cat tried to enter the flat alloted to him, which looked a little bigger than the normal cat. We all like stories from past and are interested in knowing it from our elders. Though ,the lifestyle of elder generation was totally different than of today. We all live it by listen ing from our grand parents, here is a story that my grandparents tell me about khait parwat in Uttrakhand. Kahit parwat is located in gamri patti ,village bagodi in Uttrakhand. The story is about  a person named jeetu bagadwal , who was  businessman who dealt in copper. Once he went  to take her sister along with him from her husband' home, Raithla. While he was in Raithla, he went to kundara parwat to discover the beauty of the place . While he was ubserving the beauty of the place he sat & started playing flute. His music attracted the angels of that place. Seeing the angels , jeetu got scared  and started channtting bhairav devta's name. When he opened the eyes frightenedly ,all angels were gone. Kuldhara : The haunted village

Kuldhara is the second most haunted place in india as known by people. It lies in Rajasthan, The state which is famous for its tourism & haunted places.  As no. 1 haunted place in india, the bhangarh fort also lies in it. Although both, bhangarh & kuldhara are considered as the most haunted places in india, they are the tourist spots at day time & are shut down in the evening. Kuldhara village was abandoned around 170 years ago. It is located in jaisalmer district. It was the village of paliwal brahmans. There is a story that deewan of that village used to take higher duties, taxes & used to trouble the people of the village. He fell in love with the daughter of the leader of the village, but the villagers didnt agree to deewan. In return he started torturing the villagers mentally & financially.
