PLACES TO EXPLORE IN UTTARAKHAND

Uttarakhand is one of the best tourist places in India. It's tourist destinations are famous all over the world. Places like nainital, mussourie, rishikesh are very much known places, but is it all? 

"NO", there are hundreds of places in uttrakhand which are very less explored by the tourists.  Here i am,  to  tell you about those  5 mesmerizing spots that i highly recommend.


1. Shahastradhara



Number of  natural swimming pools in a line , for which you dont have to pay a penny.  You can enjoy all day long. Hotels & restaurants on the banks of rivers. Facilities like lockers and clothes on rent is also provided. It is a must visit place in dehradun district of uttrakhand. 

2. Pithoragarh 



Pithoragarh is another heaven in India after kashmir .This district of uttrakhand lies in kumaun region.It touches it's borders with nepal. you will never regret visiting pithoragarh much of its beauty is yet to be explored.


3. Dayara bugyal


Gaining popularity year after year,  dayara bugyal now has started coming to the favourite camping & trekking destination for adventure seekers. It lies in uttarkashi district. One should visit this beauty atleast once in lifetime. 

4. Lambi dehar Mines


The history of this place is very terrifying. Local people say that spirits of hundreds of labourers haunt this place. It is few kilometers away from mussourie & a must watch place if you want to add thrill to you journey. It comes in the way of george everest which also a good place for trekking. 

5. Nachiketa tal


This place is one of the hidden gems of uttarakhand only. This beautiful place is at very high altitude. The lake is surrounded by dense forest, and even has fishes in it,  and that too in very high altitude. Even the way to reach this place is very adventurous as we have to go through dense forest. Jaunsar - The land of witches

Every child is fond of listening to stories, specially if the story is mysterious. When i was a child,  my nanaji used to  tell me stories of many mysterious places in uttrakhand. One of the heated topic on those stories were of jaunsar, a place in uttrakhand where people believe witches exist.  The story, that i remember from my nanaji's side is that once my nanaji's grandfather went to jaunsar for development of roads. Hence he wondered that all the stories from jaunsar were a myth & other engineers were not ready to go there, he got ready for the project of jaunsar. We all like stories from past and are interested in knowing it from our elders. Though ,the lifestyle of elder generation was totally different than of today. We all live it by listen ing from our grand parents, here is a story that my grandparents tell me about khait parwat in Uttrakhand. Kahit parwat is located in gamri patti ,village bagodi in Uttrakhand. The story is about  a person named jeetu bagadwal , who was  businessman who dealt in copper. Once he went  to take her sister along with him from her husband' home, Raithla. While he was in Raithla, he went to kundara parwat to discover the beauty of the place . While he was ubserving the beauty of the place he sat & started playing flute. His music attracted the angels of that place. Seeing the angels , jeetu got scared  and started channtting bhairav devta's name. When he opened the eyes frightenedly ,all angels were gone. The Kashmiri wazwan

The Kashmiri cuisine is inspired by Mongolian cooking , it's very rich in taste, as we all know there are variety of ingredients in the cuisine which makes the cuisine rich & Heavy. Timur invaded Kashmir in 15th century, with him he brought whazas (the master chefs). Wazwan is basically the meal prepared by the whazas. It is prepared in events like marriages and festivals.
