BADRINATH TRIP

My love for uttrakhand is never ending. As i am a mountain guy, i keep on visiting uttarakhand on daily basis. Once,  when i was in 11th standard, i & mamaji decided to visit the holy Badrinath temple.

We started off  from Delhi at night & reached rishikesh in 6 hrs. We were thereat around 5am. The next phase of the trip was going to be very tough, though it was a 12 hr Journey in the mountains, most of us know how hard it is to cope up with that.

The first stop was 3 dhara, where we reached around at 10am &had our breakfast. This place is names 3 dhara as three rivers meet here. Slowly slowly,  we reached Srinagar Gadwal,  This place is famous for educational institutions. universities like HNBU & GB pant are located here. After some time we reached joshimath. Here we had our lunch around at 3pm and started off for Badrinath, although the journey was full of fatigue we enjoyed the views of joshimath. Trust me it's  like heaven.

Around @7pm we reached our destination "Badrinath". Even in the end of may, the weather was so cold that when i jumped out of bus,  my muscles freezed & tumbled down. That was very embarrassing moment for me. Beacause of temperature  of people inside the bus  i was comfortable with shorts, but as i stepped out, i had to wear 5 layers of clothes, trust me even then i was feeling cold.

Next day,  we started off to Mana, the last village of india. Had breakfast there & started a 7km treck to vasudhara, it is the place from where pandavas  went to heaven. Because of inclination i was finding difficulty  to walk,  but when i saw local people lifting the same weighed people and moving effortlessly, i was shocked. On the way we saw bheem setu which was  constructed by mahabali bheem itself. Moving forward we reached half way to vasudhara,  from where the snowy area started that time got so excited as i had never seen the snow before.  After some rime we reached vasudhara. Stayed there and enjoy the snow

Then we came back down which wasn't a difficult  task & on the way we saw a military  camp there, we played volleyball  with jawans had fun at night dinner and went to sleep afterwards.

Next day we came down to rishikesh with loads of memories. One should visit the holy places of India atleaset once in his/her lifetime. Mountains give you best memories.

Every child is fond of listening to stories, specially if the story is mysterious. When i was a child,  my nanaji used to  tell me stories of many mysterious places in uttrakhand. One of the heated topic on those stories were of jaunsar, a place in uttrakhand where people believe witches exist.  The story, that i remember from my nanaji's side is that once my nanaji's grandfather went to jaunsar for development of roads. Hence he wondered that all the stories from jaunsar were a myth & other engineers were not ready to go there, he got ready for the project of jaunsar. The day he reached jaunsar a cat tried to enter the flat alloted to him, which looked a little bigger than the normal cat. While the cat was trying to enter through the window, he threw wooden photo frame on the cat. He was really terrified by the cat because of it's abnormal size, he had understood that it was one of the witches of jaunsar. The next day when he woke up he noticed that one of the woman in

Seeing the angels , jeetu got scared  and started channtting bhairav devta's name. When he opened the eyes frightenedly ,all angels were gone.
